In March 2004 we were married for 12˝ years, which is an anniversary in the Netherlands. We didn't have to think very long about how us globetrotters wanted to celebrate that.
And so we went on safari in a rental car, since we think that this is the best thing in the world: driving a car between wild animals, just by ourselves. And thus we went on safari for fourteen days in South Africa.
We started calmly in Casa do Sol in Hazyview.
After that we went to the Kruger Park for six nights. Every night we stayed in another camp and that way we slowly moved from north to south (Shimuwini Bushveld Camp, Olifants Camp, Satara Camp, Skukuza Camp, Lower Sabie Camp, Biyamiti Bushveld Camp).
For our actual wedding day we chose a reasonably priced private game reserve: White Elephant Bush Camp.
After that we went to the Imfolozi game park where we stayed in Mpila Safari Camp and finally we visited Ithala game park where we stayed in the secluded Thalu Bush Camp
